Reiner E. Jargosch

Director, Licensing

Mr. Jargosch is an intellectual property professional with seventeen years of experience directing the technology transfer and patent licensing activities for cutting‐edge products within multi‐national and startup companies. Throughout his career he has demonstrated success in competitive intelligence, knowledge/risk management, business development and licensing negotiations.  He has an in‐depth technical background relating to the high technology, energy, and chemical industries. His colleagues recognize him for his exemplary ability at developing new business models that incorporate technical intelligence and knowledge management to licensing corporations worldwide.  Mr. Jargosch worked for Lucent Technologies for much of his early career and with AT&T prior to the spinoff. He served as Intellectual Property District Manager in Miami Lakes, FL and successfully closed and/or supported closures of patent license and technology transfer agreements representing a five-year revenue stream of $350+ million.  

He built and developed a Technical Competitive Intelligence team and directed an interdisciplinary team of legal, technical, and business development professionals.  He also completed an assignment for Lucent’s Europe, Middle East, Africa (EMEA) Intellectual Property Business operations in Paris, France to restructure and develop in‐region nationals.  Prior to joining IP Advantages, Mr. Jargosch was the Global Intellectual Property Manager for Chevron Corporation.  In this role, he provided leadership for the development of Chevron’s intellectual property policy and ensured that IP strategies and initiatives were aligned with each business unit’s goals and objectives.  Mr. Jargosch’s professional background also includes experience with university technology licensing, consumer products and the chemical industry.

Mr. Jargosch received his Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry from the University of Missouri and completed Master’s level studies at Boston University School of Engineering in Technology, Strategy, and Policy. Mr. Jargosch holds US and European patents, has published in the Journal of the Association of University Technology Managers and is an active member of the Licensing Executives Society.
